FOR DIESEL ENGINE TO POWER THE GENERATOR

The topics “Study on the continuous rice husk gasification for diesel engine to power the generator” was conducted at the Center for Agricultural Energy and Machinery, Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City, with the following results: Design and fabrication of the continuous gassification system coupled to a diesel engine to operate the electric generator, the output power was 3- 6 kW. Experiments were done to determine the effects of the two factors, namely superficial air velocity V and ash removal duration T. The optimal operation of this continuous gasification system was found at the superficial air velocity V = 0,052 m/s, ash removal duration T = 10 minutes, and resulted in the specific gasification rate SGR = 171.4 kg.h-1.m-2, output power of engine P = 5,21 kW, diesel replacement percent DR = 81,6 %, Energy ratio ER = 0,73, and Value ratio VR = 16,4 or VRk = 3,6.
